    "College Starts in Kindergarten"

    I believe it is never too early to start preparing students for their future. My role as an elementary school counselor is to provide students with fundamental skills needed to be successful throughout their life. I plan to do this by creating and implementing a school counseling core curriculum, developed through data driven programing and continuous collaboration with staff and administration.

    I am searching for an elementary school counseling position that will allow me to use my creativity and fresh perspective to make a difference in the school community.


    My comprehensive school counseling program will include:

    • Working with students and families to promote connectedness to school.

    • Supporting teachers and staff in executing PBIS and RTI models.

    Middle school is an exciting, yet challenging time for students, their parents, and teachers. My role as a Middle School Counselor is to support students through their academic transitions while building community within the school. I believe it is important for middle school students to have the opportunity explore a variety of interests to prepare and excite them for their future.

    “Mapping Your Future”

    High school is the final transition into adulthood and the world of work. My role as a school counselor is to help support students during these stressful, yet exciting times by providing opportunities and guidance through personal/social, academic, and college and career counseling. I plan to meet the needs of a high school by constantly collaborating with school staff in creating data-driven programing to enhance student achievement.

    I am searching for a high school counseling position that will allow me to be a part of a collaborative team. I am looking forward to working in a school that celebrates diversity as well as uses data to drive programs and interventions.


    My comprehensive school counseling program will include:

    • Celebrating diversity and cultural awareness within the school.

    • Implementing academic interventions to improve school wide achievement.

    • Working with counseling team, teachers and staff to improve school climate and connectedness.

    • Supporting first generation college students with their post-secondary plans.

    • Creating effective transition plans for students as they arrive and complete high school.
